Well Albert…today is the launch of SerafinoSays.com and I will try my best to adhere to your doctrine. Admittedly, I am a little apprehensive at the daunting task I have given myself to write. Looking back at the love-hate relationship I had with writing essays in college it sort of freaks me out that I would willingly undertake this self-imposed assignment. Although I am 100% excited at the thought of sharing my experiences, and the experiences of my friends, on woman’s hair care and beauty.

My name is Kristan Serafino and I am a New York licensed hair stylist on a mission. I am methodically charting my career with the goal of developing a community platform allowing me to share my perspective. In other words, to be an authority on women’s hair care and beauty. Oddly enough there is a lack of female authorities in this space, yet who better to sympathize with a woman over her daily hair and beauty regime…than another woman?

Why am I qualified to be this authority? First I am a woman with uncooperative hair requiring regular dye to stay one-step ahead of the grey. Second, I have been blessed with a knack for this stuff and practice my craft with a passion. As a result, I maintain an “A”-List celebrity clientele, I have designed the hair collections for industry leaders, I am an educator/spokesperson for hair care products, and I’m frequently quoted in preeminent publications globally. Lastly, because it seems like a cool title.
